What’s Fictionalhead?
For those of you curious as to what it all means...
I’ve always thought that an individual in the creative field should represent themselves in a creative way. The juxtaposition of someone presenting a book full of creative projects during an interview, and wrapping it in a dull, lifeless identity has never made sense to me. When I see a designer with a head overflowing with great ideas brand himself as “John Smith Design,” a little part of me can’t help but wonder why.
Yeah, But What Does Fictionalhead Mean, Anyway?
The idea of Fictionalhead sprung from the larger idea of an ever changing identity that wears the hat (or head in this case), of any specific need in the design industry. It grew from the thought that this little mascot needn’t have a fictional head, but rather that he is a fictional head. Do you need someone to head up your identity package? How about your website? Or maybe your production team? Safe to say, I have a head for that.
