I had done enough home improvements at our house, I felt a bit like I had built a house, just distributed in chunks. Stairs here, roof there, redone electrical work, etc. So during the middle of the lockdown I decided to see if I could build a house/cabin in our woods from scratch by myself. It ended up being about a 3-year undertaking with other projects and kids and whatnot, but it was a good learning experience to undertake a bunch of new skills and trades. As of writing this it’s not quite finished. I have some eaves and gutters to put in when I hang the remainder of the siding.
